Blooie's RoadHouse

Looking back at the last post, its been a year.

Oh gosh, that is definitely a long time since I last blogged, all thanks to my laziness. Oh well, who doesn't procrastinate right? Anyway, how's the haze coming along for all? Not really positive for me, but remember to have your masks on, ya! I have got MINE!

Back to the main topic.
Recently I stumbled upon this "hidden" restaurant within Siglap. Review was fantastic and the food sure looks good. Fam & I decided to give it a try.

The whole interior of this place is out of the ordinary. It somehow gives you a feeling that you're not in Singapore as there were quite a fair bit of Caucasians.
We started off with the appetizer, a simple Caesar Salad.
This is the main dish, BEER CHICKEN. Unlike the dishes on the menu, order for this have to be made 1 day in advanced. Uniqueness of the chicken, would be that it is so soft and tender in the inside, with a zest of traditional beer within. Topping it up with the sauce contained in the beer can, its definitely a perfect match.

Dad wanted to order something else, so he opted for Lamb Shanks. Surprisingly, unlike the usual, the meat was rather tender and the mushroom sauce was the perfect companion. There wasn't any strong smell of lamb (which I don't like).
The staff was very friendly and sweet, to cut up the chicken for us and have it placed nicely for easy consumption.

The day ended with a recommendation from their lovely staff, Traditional Brownie & Ice cream. The brownie is actually a molten cake, warm and sinful, with chocolate fudge oozing out with within. Pairing it with the vanilla ice cream, its heavenly yet sinful! Totally worth it.
